Wyoming

I was lucky enough to catch a ride to Lyman, WY with a few of my roommates this semester. Good times with great people! I’m so glad I brought my camera along. Huge thanks to Ashlee Quinney for driving, her wonderful family for housing us, and Megan and Kyle for entertaining me on the drive. Oh and that moose picture wouldn’t have happened without Kyle’s keen eye.

Light Painting

Light painting was so great. I loved the setups available. I brought my own flashlight which was a yellower tone as opposed to the LED flashlights provided. I was grateful for the variation which allowed me to have some cool effects, like with the clarinet. I was great at getting light trails, something I need to work on. Lucky for me, they turn out pretty cool sometimes.

Typography

For my 10 images, I chose the theme of doors. These were all taken at the ghost town in Bannack, MO. I’m still practicing type on images, but I’m off to a good start. There were minimal edits to the images. I chose these typefaces because of readability and the simple contrast they give to the patterns on the wood.
