Me at Kiwi Loco in Rexburg, ID

Hi! I’m McKenzie Lyman. I was born and raised in Texas but have found myself in Rexburg, Idaho at Brigham Young University – Idaho for my education. I love it here, but hate the cold!

I’m 21 years old and this is my 4th semester in Idaho. I got back 4 months ago from being a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Juiz de Fora, Brazil and miss it every day!

I’m excited to learn more about photography and improve my skills, which are pretty nonexistent. I am more familiar with editing and am looking forward to brushing up those skills as well. I don’t have much experience with photography, but I enjoy taking pictures when I have a camera on me!

My past photos happen to all be from Brazil because of the beauty I found there. All the edits I made we small, only adjusting tone, color, and contrast. They were all either taken in Itatiaia, Varginha, or Teresópolis. Here are my favorites!

  1. McKenzie, I’m loving the pictures of Brazil. I served my mission there so it brings back memories. I especially like the picture of the acai. I liked how you focused on one object and blurred the background. I like how your pictures were taking outside, giving it that natural authentic feeling. Can’t wait to see more of your pictures.
